Professional Summary:

I have held varying jobs and gained experience in both the food and retail industry as well as years of babysitting/nanny jobs. In food, I learned how to make and serve food to customers, handle tense situations, and clean effectively. In retail, I worked at Tilly’s at Arrowhead Towne Center as a sales associate, doing anything from assisting individuals with finding things quickly, and working registers/ counting money, etc. On a separate note, I have become very familiar with watching children due to my years of experience, and I believe that this has made me more aware of how to deal with situations; care for people, and put others needs before my own.

Work Experience:

TiLLY’S
September 2015 – January 2016

At Tilly’s I spent a lot of time out on the floor getting to know my customers and really helping them to find whatever it was they were looking for. Another important aspect of my job was the register. I learned how to quickly and efficiently ring up customers all while maintain a friendly and genuine connection. This was one of my favorite parts of my job because it gave me the opportunity to have a real conversation and make lasting impressions. Additionally, I gained much experience with counting and sorting money as well as working cash registers. Furthermore, this job really helped me learn how to confidently talk to all kinds of people, solve problems quickly, and really get an understanding for the retail industry.

Dairy Queen
May 2015 – August 2016

While I worked in the food industry I secured many of the fundamental aspects of having a professional job, as well as responsibilities specific to the food industry. At Dairy Queen I was able to gain an appreciation for efficiency and cleanliness due to the constant hustle of work. Many times I was placed in stressful situations and was required to make important decisions quickly. Moreover, I learned the importance of managing my time effectively, making sure my priorities were always straight, so that all my obligations were fulfilled in a timely fashion.

Babysitting/ Nanny

As a girl who grew up with siblings and a big family, I had extensive opportunity to babysit other children. Ever since I was old enough I have loved taking care of little ones, and because of this, people often ask me to watch their children when they are not able. This has been a big part of my life as long as I can remember and it has truly helped me to understand what it is like to help others who depend on me, as well as focus on what they need done before I focus on myself.
