How and when was VirtualAssistantjobs.com started?
FlexJobs began with a mission to help people! Our founder, Michele, was pregnant with her first son back in 2002 and was trying to find a good, flexible job while her partner transitioned out of the military. She was shocked by all the scams and bogus listings out there and knew there had to be a better way. So, she took matters into her own hands and created a safe and trusted place for professionals to find legitimate, flexible jobs—and just like that, VOT was born!

That’s a great question! Even for 100% remote jobs, many companies have location requirements because of legal or tax considerations. Sometimes, a job may require you to be close to a specific office for occasional in-person meetings.

It’s easy! Just select the 100% remote option from our “remote” filter. We also suggest including your location in the search. This will help you find all jobs that can be done from your area, nationally, and even internationally!

Why isn’t salary listed on a job posting?
Many states now have salary transparency laws, so if a job is posted from one of those states, the salary will be included. Otherwise, employers will often discuss salary and pay scale during or after your first interview.
