Responsible for managing workflow, employee training, standard operating procedures, and contact with
providers and their staff – and doing my share of charge entry, payment entry, verifying correct coding,
and following up on accounts receivable and insurance denials for a large medical group. The physicians
I work with include primary care doctors, ENT specialists, and general surgeons. I am comfortable with

Workers Compensation and No-Fault Insurance- Responsible for all aspects of preparing accounts for billing,
mailing and/or electronically uploading bills, collecting and posting payments from insurance companies, and
recording and responding to correspondence regarding these accounts.

greet patients and provide information to help them find what they need. Receptionist for outpatient registration
(for Radiology, Laboratory, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Testing, Physical Therapy, Ambulatory Surgery and
PreOperative History and Physical departments) directing patients to staff who are available. Also required to
register patients 5 to 10 times per day to keep them from waiting too long. In direct contact with physicians

specific information about their visit into IDX computer system. Also responsible for admitting, discharging,
and transferring patients in computer system. Make phone calls to
insurance companies for authorization/notification purposes and input notes for billing
department. Participate in patient billing process by matching all charts from above mentioned departments,
as well as Emergency Department, with charge reports generated by them, before sending to billing or coding
department as directed.
