 EXPERIENCE

ENTREPRENUR, WILSONVILLE OR 2012- Present

I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 18 years old. I spent 2 years teaching myself the skills I needed to become a business owner. I obtained over 20 certifications in many areas to widen my knowledge base. I am currently in Beta Test mode for a digital course I created for my company Elite Training Services.

The skills I have gained as an entrepreneur will carry me throughout the rest of my life and make me a perfect candidate for virtual work. I am self motivated and an independent thinker. I am incredibly punctual about deadlines, as well as impeccably organized. I am great at critiquing my own work and I’m detail oriented.

I can also think outside the box when things aren’t working out. I’m able to think quickly on my feet, think of simple solutions to everyday problems and lead with no problem.

FREELANCE NANNY, Wilsonville OR 2015-present

Being a nanny has been one of the greatest, most rewarding jobs I’ve had thus far in my life. Not only is this a job that brings me joy daily, I’ve also learned many valuable skills.

Being a nanny has taught me to be a creative thinker and i’ve learned how to speak in a way that motivates people while still being simple enough to understand.

I’ve learned how to deal with life as it comes and roll with the punches, which I believe is critical in the work place.

Nannying has also taught me how to be objective and be a leader. When you’re a nanny, you have no choice but to be the boss in each situation. I’ve learned to delegate tasks by having the children help, as well as knowing how to read a situation and determine what the next step is.

Medication Technician, Bellingham WA 2012-2014

My first job was when I became a certified nursing assistant. Working in the medical field, especially at entry level jobs like this, there is a lot of dirty work.

It’s incredibly rewarding and you learn a lot. As a CNA, I bathed residents, fed them, changed them and help with their daily activities. I answered call lights, helped to promote independence, as well as treated them when they were sick.

I became a medication tech about 6 months in and I began passing medication, working with the MAR and working with doctors and medication orders. I did insulin injections, organized the med cart and learned to work with narcotics.

This was yet another valuable job in my life because when you’re dealing with people’s health, not only do you learn to be professional, but you learn to be compassionate. You also have to be able to focus, learn new things and be quick on your feet when emergency situations arise. I learned to delegate tasks, be a leader and take charge in scary situations.
