Williamsburg-area freelance Writers and Videographers needed. Remote work – $25-$150 per assignment!

WRITERS

We are currently seeking writers who want to tell Williamsburg’s stories. This might include writing about a local band, business, or festival, creating a short travel guide, and reporting on a current event. This is the perfect opportunity for William & Mary students! Work from home – on your time – with an easy-to-meet deadline.

To qualify, you must have a local connection (live here, visit here often, local business owner, local student), and have some writing experience (we will require a writing sample). We are looking for writers with a desire to create aspirational and inspirational stories illuminating the breadth and depth of the Greater Williamsburg destination.

Interested writers will be added for consideration as assignments are available. Writing projects pay $25-$50 per story, depending on the scope of the assignment, and generally require no more than a 2-4 hour commitment. FREELANCE VIDEOGRAPHER/EDITOR

WilliamsburgVisitor.com is in need of FREELANCE video producers for our web and social platforms. You must be familiar with creating short videos and have access to equipment (GoPro, newer iPhone, DSLR or video camera). We have a variety of video assignments including “point of view” walking and drive-thru videos, marketing shorts, and on-location tours. You must have your own software with the ability to create professional cuts, graphics, sound and other elements. Experience with iMovie, FinalCut or similar program is necessary.
