Job Description

Virus Data Collectors are needed to process critical information concerning the COVID-19 novel corona virus.
The COVID Data Collectors will conduct data entry and virtual records management to support COVID response activities. These include data entry into web-based reporting systems for all confirmed and probable cases, data entry for internal use and records management. Data Collectors are required to follow all policies and procedures and comply with training regarding confidential information related to personal information.




Example of Duties
  • Collect/gather data, organize data, sort data and enter data according to guidelines by adding codes, tags and other information.
  • Perform data entry into web-based state reporting database for all confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases.
  • Perform data entry to support other response activities to include, but not limited to, data entry to support outbreak line lists and monitoring logs.
  • Maintain paper records of COVID-19 related paperwork.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Education or work experience in health, health sciences , or public health preferred but not required.
  • At least 1 year experience working with data, in data entry or administrative office management.
  • Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude, and work ethic.
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Ability to work 100% from a home based, remote office
  • Must be able to work daytime office hours that can range from 7am to 7pm (E.S.T.)
  • Full time, with benefits. $20 per hour, up to $25/hr with experience.
