Job Description

We are a large university looking to hire Data Entry and Administrative Assistants to join our remote team for a temporary (10 month) contract. 100% remote work to help our departments handle the demands of remote learning.

Your role would be to support academic departments with course data, content changes, and other duties related to the data load involved with remote learning. This position is remote during the current COVID crisis which we anticipate to be at least 10 months.





What you’ll do…

    • Upload data, correct database entries, enter data to spreadsheets, correct and update spreadsheet data, enter student information, course information, and financial information.
    • Assist with course documents, instructor paperwork, and provide occasional customer service via email and live chat.
    • Liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Support, Admissions, Tech Support, Student Services, and Accounting).

REQUIREMENTS

Education / Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred; or four years related experience in an academic setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience in an administrative office.

Problem Solving Skills

    • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; performs fast and accurate data entry; ability to perform data entry for extended time periods without losing focus

Analytical Skill

    • Provides data entry of complex and diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to prepare content, upload documents and create a variety of administrative documents such as letters, forms, packages, guides, course books, syllabus sheets, and more.

Virtual Work

    • Balances team and individual responsibilities; has a home office with a newer computer, Internet access, unlimited data mobile phone, fax machine or virtual fax service, access to Google Docs, MS Word and MS Excel.
    • ***We will provide a tablet for easy access to course documents***

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency and/or willingness to learn common business and communication technologies (i.e. SalesForce, Zoom, Skype, Slack, Microsoft Access, FaceTime etc.)

BENEFITS

    • Starting pay is at $17/hr.
    • After 30 days, you will receive $18/hr.
    • 3 part time opportunities (working 20 hours per week in the evenings)
    • 6 full time opportunities (working 40 hours per week during business hours, M-F 8am-5:30pm)
