Full Time $24/hr, work at home, 2 openings





The COVID Data Entry Specialist will conduct data entry and records management to support COVID response activities. These include data entry into web-based reporting systems for all confirmed and probable cases, data entry for internal use, filing and records management. Data Entry Specialists are required to follow all policies and procedures, and comply with training regarding confidential information related to personal information.

This position is limited service, meaning the position is contingent upon funding and contract. Working weekends and evenings may be required.

Example of Duties
  • Perform data entry into web-based state reporting database for all confirmed and probable COVID cases;
  • Perform data entry to support other response activities to include, but not limited to, data entry to support outbreak line lists and monitoring logs;
  • Maintain paper records of COVID-19 related paperwork per CDHD records retention policy.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: perform data entry to records system to identify and correct errors; researching a variety of sources to resolve problems; interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments; entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education or work experience in health, health sciences or public health;
  • Experience working with sensitive or restricted data.
  • Data Entry experience
  • Home office with new laptop, Internet access, unlimited text capabilities, fax service and a printer.
