The Clinical Service Representatives (CSR) provides services and support to patients enrolled in a variety of our insurance plans. You must be open to any schedule including weekends. The pay starts at $13/hr. Once converted to a permanent employee the pay increases to $17/hr for English speakers and $17/hr for bilingual Spanish speakers. We are hiring immediately, apply today!!
The CSR is part of a remote interprofessional care team. Responsibilities include but not limited to management of incoming calls, chats, ongoing account monitoring, case escalation, reinforcement of the care plan, education, scheduling follow-up and care coordination. The CSR will complete training and have an in-depth knowledge of health care delivery, care coordination and customer services.
Education:
Associate’s Degree in communication, business or healthcare administration, or liberal arts, OR equivalent work combination of coursework and experience in a service industry highly desired.
Experience:
1-3 years customer service experience in a business office setting, preferably in a healthcare environment or call center environment required.
Skills/Knowledge:
Knowledge of care delivery and customer service highly desired
Must have excellent interpersonal telephone etiquette and customer service skills
Must have critical thinking skills and ability to work within complex care environments
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
Demonstrates skill sets in billing, registration and/or scheduling
Demonstrates ability to openly and comfortably discuss sensitive topics with patients
Able to build positive and trusting relationships with diverse patient groups
Familiar with managed care, and Medicare eligibility, authorization and billing preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, Access or similar programs
Ability to navigate multiple platforms simultaneously
Demonstrates ability to work in a highly complex remote environment, able to communicate with clients (including patients, clinicians and physicians) effectively through many communication platforms
Ability to effectively research and resolve issues, including patient financial accounts, scheduling and registration
Ability to establish a pleasant environment by using a pleasant tone of voice and maintaining composure at all times
Understanding of medical terminology a plus
Able to translate the plan of care to actionable items for the patients
Ability to engaged patients use plain language and techniques such as teach back and motivational interviewing
Primary Location: home based positions, report to regional offices
