We are launching a new international weather app and are in immediate need of remote Typists to work online to help us distribute news, weather, video and weather related content to more than 200,000 websites and services. We are located in California but our employees work from home, from any location.

Full and Part Time, $18 per hour after training. ($11/hr during training).

Training will be online and last 4 weeks. You must be able to complete training from 10am-3pm (Pacific Standard Time). After training, you will select your top three shift choices. There are contracted positions with no benefits. $18 per hour after training paid weekly.

DUTIES

The Remote Weather Captioning Typists are responsible for creating the closed captioning for pre-recorded and live videos used on our weather app, our website and our distributed networks. These weather videos are recorded for locations around the world, in a variety of languages, and are updated every 15-60 minutes depending on conditions. Therefore, we have a significant amount of work available for typists who can work FAST and accurately.

• Caption pre-recorded and live videos provided by the studio production team
• Monitor captions to ensure accuracy
• Create glossary using our captioning software (we will provide you with all necessary software)
• Meet strict turnaround times
• Captioning Typists are needed to work with many languages!

Qualifications

• 1-2 year(s) typing or data entry experience
• Strong typing skill with a WPM speed of 70 or greater required
• Experience working from home is preferred
• Ability to sit and focus for extended periods of time while captioning & monitoring incoming videos
• Strong command of your chosen language
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple daily deadlines
• Ability to work from your home without distractions and with high speed internet, access to video chat software, google documents, the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, and text/messaging software
• Flexibility with working varying shifts; First, Second and Third shift coverage for our 24/7 network operations. Full and part time.
• Strong communication skills
