Job Description

Our broadcast servicing organization is looking for 10 real-time captioners and 10 backup captions who are interested in working in the closed-captioning industry.

Job Description:



  • Captions live or live-to-tape programming on a freelance/subcontract basis
  • Captions pre-recorded video, podcasts, shows, and other programming
  • All shifts are Available 12AM-8AM, 8AM-4PM, 4PM – 12AM Pacific Time
  • Work from home, any location.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have fast typing speed
  • Must be able to install closed captioning software (we provide software)
  • Must have two computers; one for backup, we prefer a desktop and a laptop
  • Must have two phone lines; one may be a cellphone if it works at home
  • Must have high speed internet
  • Must be on time, follow directions, responsible and open to feedback
