Job Description

We are hiring a full time remote Communications Assistant. This position is 100% homebased and offers up to $50,000 per year for qualified candidates.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The winning candidate will have experience working as an administrative assistant in a marketing capacity – or experience working in an executive support role in a communications environment.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Act as point of contact between various teams, managers, and clients.
  • Evaluates tools for social collaboration and provides recommendations and feedback.
  • Provides marketing communication guidance with social media. Develops a calendar for social media content and curates content to share with our clients.
  • Provides support to program manager and program team lead on presentations, reports and audience analysis.
  • Assists in the management of internal communication channels. Updates the intranet site, content and communication channels.
  • Works with executive leadership to review and analyze weekly marketing reports during virtual meetings and video conferences.
  • Co-hosts virtual meetings and manages the operational side of meetings (conference access, digital invitations, Powerpoint presentations and summary review.)
  • Manages an online editorial calendar and workflow process for our website. This will include working with writers to obtain content to meet schedule.

SKILLS

  • Skilled in web communications and marketing with demonstrated history of project management in those areas.
  • Good writing skills with experience writing or editing web content and communications.
  • Experience in delivering web metrics reports helpful, not required.
  • An understanding of using social media, new media technologies and techniques.
  • A team player with the ability to work independently from home. Must be able to work under pressure with strong time management skills and able to quickly deliver on tight timelines. Must have strong customer service and client relation skills.
  • A Bachelor’s of Science degree in English, Journalism, History, Political Science, Communications, Marketing, Information Systems or equivalent degree preferred. Will consider experience along with certifications in place of degree.
